My name is Ashraf Omar, I'm from New Zealand and I lost my older brother in 2019, in the Christchurch mosque shooting.

Dignity Beyond Borders has opened my eyes so much. I learnt what empathy was, for others and myself. That through connections with one another, we can begin to heal. These connections are from all over the globe and forged for life. Above all else, it took me from the depths of darkness and into the light, and now I dare to dream.
