My name is Emma and I lost my dad, Jon Dozier on January 9, 2008 when he was fighting the war in Iraq.

I was just one at the time.

Growing up, I learned a lot about his life and how one of his biggest passions was taking care of others, especially in service to our country. 

I hope to be like him in so many ways, helping people live the lives they deserve.

Going to Dignity in Action has allowed me to experience life through different perspectives. I learned so much from my international friends about how restoring dignity in each other through challenging times helps us all grow.

I'm so proud to have been a part of that! I know my dad is proud too!
