Building peace through shared humanity since 2008
Established in 2008, this international program brings together young people from around the globe who have experienced loss due to terrorism, war, and mass violence. Together, participants build skills in conflict resolution, empathy, and leadership while learning from one another’s lived experience.
As participants reflect on conflict and develop tools for healing and peacebuilding, they leave the program prepared to bring these lessons back to their own communities—becoming voices for understanding, resilience, and positive change.
What we aim to achieve
- Heal from the trauma of loss through community and shared experience
- Foster resilience and post-traumatic growth
- Build cross-cultural understanding and empathy
- Develop skills in conflict management and peacebuilding
- Empower participants to become agents of change in their communities
- Inspire a global network dedicated to dignity and peace
A Place to Heal and Connect
Young Adults from around the world connect in a safe, restorative environment surrounded by nature and guided by experienced mental health clinicians, each participant is supported in sharing their story of loss. Through this process, they form deep connections with one another and come to recognize the dignity and humanity in every individual.
“I never thought I could sit in the same room with some of the people here…. Yet here we are, thanks to PCB, building connections, asking questions, and finding answers we never imagined we’d get”
— Participant, PCB 2025
